Community Worship Service in Ellison Park
Thanks to several churches in the Monticello community, a special service will be offered in Ellison Park on Sunday morning, July 14th. Service will be held at the west end of the park.
Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and find a spot in the shade. Enjoy the summer weather with this outdoor worship service in Ellison Park.
12 noon (start time)
Do you want to be part of our parade? You can join us with your band, float, or group! Click here for a 2019 Riverfest Parade Application. Limited to entries received by July 8th.
Do you have a convertible that can be used in the parade for Monticello Royal Ambassador candidates? Contact the Chamber of Commerce at 763.295.2700.
The 2019 Riverfest Parade will feature a marching band, drum line group, Shriners Go-Karts and many more units. Please contact the Chamber for more information if you are part of a band or musical group. Parade line-up at 11 am. See Parade Official for assistance when you arrive.
The parade starts on 3rd Street at the Monticello American Legion Club and heads East to Walnut Street. Then it will take a right on Walnut Street and head South until 6th Street. The Parade takes a right on 6th Street and heads West to Minnesota Street; there it turns South and ends on West 7th Street. NOTE: Parade units will exit at 7th Street West, near the area where they started.
4-H Club members and the Sons of the American Legion will be passing out candy before the parade and accepting donations to the Monticello Foodshelf. Come early to reserve your spot on the parade route, and bring plenty of sun screen. The weather is scheduled once again to be perfect!
Again, we are asking that both those riding in the parade and those attending the parade not spray water of any kind. We have had too many complaints and we risk losing parade participants if we continue to have water guns in the parade. We ask all parade attendees to help police this request.
We would like to have parade participants sign up early so we can mail them a notification of where they will line up in the parade. This will hopefully cut down on the confusion at the beginning of the parade and make it easier for everyone riding in the parade. Get the 2019 Riverfest Parade Application today! Participants should start lining up at 11:00 with a parade start at 12 noon.
